CALGARY, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Heinz Portmann, Chairman of the Board of Dynetek Industries Ltd. ("Dynetek"), announces on behalf of the Board of Directors that Robb Thompson, President and CEO, has tendered his resignation effective December 31, 2006.
The Board of Directors of Dynetek has reluctantly accepted his resignation and thanks Robb Thompson for his years of service and his valuable contributions to Dynetek's success. The Board of Directors wishes Robb Thompson well in his future endeavors.
Dr. Christian Rasche has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the new President and CEO of Dynetek effective January 1, 2007.
The newly appointed President and CEO, Dr. Rasche, has been the Executive Director of Dynetek (Europe) GmbH since 2001. Dr. Rasche brings over 20 years of experience in the alternative energy market and today serves on various advisory committees related to the storage and transportation of compressed natural gas and hydrogen. Robb Thompson has indicated to the Board that he is prepared to stay on as President and CEO until December 31, 2006 in order to assist with the transition. Mr. Thompson has also agreed to stay on as a director after December 31, 2006.
