Sipex Unveils Digital Power Technology at Electronica 2006

Sipex CEO, Ralph Schmitt, will be meeting with analysts, press, and customers discussing the capabilities and added value of Sipex's digital power technology.

Sipex's VP of Engineering, Lee Cleveland, together with researchers from the University of Toronto will be demonstrating a digitally controlled 4 output multi-phase step-down buck regulator. "One of the major obstacles to an effective digital PWM architecture has been power consumption," said Lee Cleveland. "Sipex is known for low power consumption high efficient solutions. The PWM architecture includes a digital PFM capability for high efficient light load operation and a unique low power implementation requiring only 400uA per channel when operating in PWM mode at 10MHz."
