COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 17, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Public Service Company of North Carolina, Incorporated ("PSNC Energy"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SCANA Corporation , today announced that it has received the requisite consents from holders of its 6.99% Senior Debentures due 2026, its 7.45% Senior Debentures due 2026 and its 6.625% Medium Term Notes due February 15, 2011 (collectively, the "Notes" and each, a "series of Notes"), to the proposed amendment to the Indenture governing the Notes, as described in the previously announced consent solicitation. PSNC Energy and the trustee under the Indenture have entered into supplemental indentures for each series of the Notes including the proposed amendment. Payment of the Consent Payment is expected to be made on Monday, November 20, 2006.
