NEW YORK (AP) - Jones Apparel Group Inc. said Wednesday it named Wesley R. Card as its new chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Card, 59, succeeds Thimio Sotos, who resigned 'to pursue other opportunities,' the company said.
Card, who served as Jones' CFO from 1990 to March of 2006, will also continue to serve as chief operating officer. He has held the COO position since 2002.
Jones Apparel shares rose 17 cents to $32.70 in electronic aftermarket trading. During regular trading hours, the shares fell 61 cents to close at $32.53 on the New York Stock Exchange.
