SEATTLE, Dec. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing , EgyptAir and Project HOPE today used the delivery of the airline's second of 12 737-800s to facilitate the free delivery of medical supplies for use by medical professionals in Egypt.

EgyptAir's new 737-800 is the world's most modern and efficient single- aisle commercial airplane and offers unmatched performance and reliability. The airplane departed Boeing Field this afternoon and is expected to arrive in Cairo tomorrow evening.

To date, 101 customers have placed orders for more than 3,500 Next- Generation 737s. Overall, the 737 is the world's best-selling commercial jet airplane family, with more than 6,600 ordered by 237 customers.
EgyptAir operates 400 weekly flights from Cairo and several Egyptian cities, providing route connectivity to more than 66 destinations across Asia, Europe, Africa and North America.
