OXFORD, Mich., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Oxford Bank Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: OXBC) , the holding company for Oxford Bank, announced today the appointment of Patrick J. Thompson as vice president and commercial loan officer. Mr. Thompson officially joined Oxford Bank on November 20, 2006.

Mr. Thompson brings more than 37 years of banking and finance experience to his position at Oxford Bank, the last 19 in capacities related to commercial lending and investment. He most recently served as a commercial real estate relationship manager for a privately owned bank in Southfield, Michigan. Prior to that position, Mr. Thompson spent 12 years developing commercial real estate and small business investment opportunities for Ford Motor Credit Company in Dearborn, Michigan.
A resident of Oxford, Michigan, Mr. Thompson holds a bachelor of science degree from Oakland University, with a focus on management, economics, and finance. He also possesses degrees from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the American Bankers Association National School of Real Estate Finance.
Mr. Thompson is a past president and Paul Harris Fellowship Award recipient of the Sterling Heights Rotary Club as well as a former Junior Achievement volunteer.
