NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NexCen Brands, Inc. , announced today that Charles A. Zona has joined the company effective immediately as Executive Vice President of Licensing and Brand Management. Mr. Zona, a highly respected retail industry professional, will lead this function for NexCen, reporting directly to President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert W. D'Loren.

Mr. Zona joins NexCen from his own consulting practice, where he advised well known brands such as The J. Peterman Company, Chris-Craft Boats and XOR. Prior to this endeavor, he served as senior vice president for consumer products at the National Football League Properties, where Mr. Zona was charged with the development of a new consumer products business model focused upon apparel, accessories and hardlines. Mr. Zona also brings extensive retail experience to NexCen, where his previous position as senior vice president at Lord & Taylor included divisional profit and loss responsibility, sales, design, marketing, sourcing, manufacturing and operations.
