SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sanmina-SCI Corporation (the "Company"), a leading global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company, today announced the filing of its quarterly report on Form 10-Q for its third quarter ended July 1, 2006 with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In a press release dated August 14, 2006, the Company disclosed that it was delaying the filing of its report on Form 10-Q because the investigation of the Special Committee of the Company's Board of Directors related to the Company's stock option administration practices had not been completed.
Based on the final report and recommendations of the Special Committee, the Company issued a press release on October 12, 2006 stating that a restatement of the Company's historical financial results would be necessary in order to record additional stock-based compensation expenses and that the restatement would effect the Company's financial statements for fiscal years 1997 through 2005. The financial statements, and related footnotes and disclosures, as filed today with the SEC in the Company's Form 10-Q for its third quarter have been adjusted to reflect the results of the investigation. Further information related to these and other matters may be found in the Company's Form 10-Q filing at http://www.sanmina-sci.com/ or http://www.sec.gov/.
