Students have created 8 1/2-by 11-inch pictures illustrating the general theme, "Art from the Heart," or "Words of Thanks" -- including strength, pride, courage and protection. World Airways, the largest carrier of U.S. military personnel, will transport thousands of military troops during the holiday period.
"This is our fourth year for the art program, which has been extremely popular with U.S. military personnel," said Charlie McDonald, World's chief operating officer. "The pictures created by the children are put on display throughout our aircraft, and many soldiers ask to keep the colorful artwork."
