Chesapeake Utilities Corporation Celebrates Another Year of 'Peake' Performers


DOVER, Del., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Chesapeake Utilities Corporation recognized Geraldine McGowan, Sharp Energy, Inc.'s Administrative Manager, as the Company's exemplary manager for the year 2006. Ms. McGowan, a resident of Middletown, DE, received the "Peake Manager of the Year" award at the Company's annual Delmarva Peake Party, held on January 13th at The Clarion Fountainbleau Hotel in Ocean City, MD.

In addition, the Company named the 2006 Peake Performers for its Delmarva business units, including Timothy Cole, a resident of Ridgeley, MD, Bulk Plant Technician for Sharp Energy, Inc.; Glen DiEleuterio, a resident of Wilmington, DE, Senior Engineer for Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company; Ronald King, a resident of Magnolia, DE, Senior Meter Reader for Chesapeake Utilities; and Janice Thompson, a resident of Smyrna, DE, Payroll Specialist for the Company's corporate office.

"The Company is honored to present these awards to five employees with such knowledge of and dedication to their jobs," said John R. Schimkaitis, President and CEO. "They have consistently exhibited excellence in the performance of their jobs as well as the Company's other 'CHOICE' values."
