Openwave Systems Inc. to Showcase Adaptive Mobility at 3GSM World Congress


REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Openwave Systems Inc. , the leading provider of open software products and services for the communications industry, today announced that the Company will showcase its Adaptive Mobility suite of content, communications and context solutions at 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, Feb. 12-15.

Openwave's adaptive suite of solutions will be available for demonstration in the Openwave Hospitality Suite, AV 93-97, including:

-- Adaptive Communications services that bridge broadband and mobile networks, integrate data and voice for a complete and conversational communications experience. -- Adaptive Content services, including a next-generation content delivery and merchandising system for mobile operators to create immediate and relevant services across all media and content offerings. -- Adaptive Context-based services, including a new profiling and personalization system to create individualized mobile experiences, applications that enable highly targeted and contextual merchandising and mobile advertising, and location-based services such as points of interest mapping and "meet-me" applications -- Mobile music services, including Smart Radio, which allows consumers to access customized mobile streaming music programming; a music discovery engine; a dynamic content store that features one-click access to all the content available for a given artist; a new music player which features a full track mobile music subscription service accessible via mobile handset and PC; and the Musiwave Music on Demand Service (MODS(TM)) which allows fast, full-length secure downloads of music directly to 3G mobile devices.

Openwave will also host three invitation-only roundtables on hot industry topics, including:

-- A mobile music discussion focusing on the current state of downloadable music for mobile devices, including consumer demand, trends and strategies for both operators and service providers to provide a seamless user experience. -- A customer roundtable on the latest trends and technology to help operators deliver instantly relevant and accessible content to subscribers. -- A customer thought-leadership roundtable on how operators can leverage a new class of converged messaging that breaks traditional voice and messaging silos and leverages technologies that can adapt to each user to create an integrated user experience.



Openwave has been short listed for the "Best Messaging Service" Global Mobile Award, the winner of which will be announced at the Global Mobile Awards 07.
