"Richard led Stemco to record sales and earnings after he became division president in 1999," said Ernie Schaub, president and chief executive officer of EnPro. "Under his direction, Stemco has experienced a period of continuous growth, improving its facilities and investing in new product development. We are grateful for his leadership and wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement."

Cox was vice president of engineering at Stemco for four years before he joined EnPro's Garlock Sealing Technologies unit in 1999 as vice president of engineering. In 2002, he was promoted to vice president and general manager of Garlock Klozure Dynamic Seals. He will relocate to Stemco's headquarters in Longview, Texas.

"Jon is a very capable manager who has a proven track record in increasing sales and profitability, directing product innovation and extending the business into new markets," Schaub said. "He recently led the first phase of a facility renovation at Garlock's Palmyra, N.Y., location. With his previous experience at Stemco and his recent success at Garlock Klozure, Jon is highly qualified to guide Stemco's continued growth."

EnPro also announced the following additional organization changes, effective April 1:

* George Whittier, vice president and general manager, Garlock Helicoflex, will assume responsibility as vice president and general manager, Garlock Klozure, located in Palmyra, N.Y. * Gilles Hudon, general manager of operations, Garlock du Canada in Sherbrooke, Quebec, will assume responsibility as vice president and general manager, Garlock Helicoflex, located in Columbia, S.C.

Both Whittier and Hudon will report to Paul Baldetti, division president, Garlock Sealing Technologies.
