HARBIN, China, March 6 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Harbin Electric, Inc. , will host the NASDAQ Opening Bell ceremony on Thursday, March 8, 2007 to commemorate the Company's recent listing on the NASDAQ Global Market. The ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. E.T. at NASDAQ's MarketSite Times Square Studio in New York City and will be broadcast simultaneously on NASDAQ's seven-story Tower in Times Square.
The ceremony will be co-hosted by Harbin Electric Inc. Chairman and CEO Tianfu Yang along with many of the Company's senior executives. This broadcast will be seen by millions of viewers via television networks that broadcast the ceremony daily throughout the U.S. and around the world.
