FAIR LAWN, N.J., March 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diversified Security Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of Henry Bros. Electronics, Inc., today announced an agreement with Workspeed Notifications to offer Workspeed Notify, an electronic evacuation notification solution that allows New York City building tenants to notify and account for their employees during an emergency evacuation.
Workspeed Notify is designed to push evacuation information instantly to thousands of employees/tenants, through any electronic device including computers, cell phones, blackberrys, etc., in an event of an emergency. The electronic system also provides employees with the ability to respond, enabling the building to account for their employees/tenants in a crisis.
Diversified Security will sell Workspeed Notify exclusively to its New York customers as an effective means for Local Law 26 compliance, which requires all commercial high-rise tenant companies to "establish and maintain a system of assigning responsibility for accounting for employees present in the building so that accounting can be made in the event of an in-building relocation, partial evacuation or full evacuation." Diversified Security will also market Workspeed Notify nationwide as part of its emergency preparedness / business continuity solution.
"Diversified Security is dedicated to providing the most robust security offering to building owners and managers. Our work is designed to help protect the people who work in the larger buildings of New York City. The most important asset of any building is the people that work in it, and this new partnership with Workspeed Notifications will significantly improve the ability of employers to quickly make sure no one is left behind," said Mark Novak, director of emergency planning of Diversified Security.
"Technology has advanced to where we have automated two way communications with large numbers of recipients in short time frames, which is ideal for notifying building occupants in the event of an emergency. Workspeed Notify is an ideal offering for Henry Bros. Electronics and Diversified Security, who have a proven leadership position in the building security space. The Workspeed Notify tool will enable NYC buildings to be Local Law 26 compliant while developing truly workable emergency plans that will make a major difference when a crisis occurs," said Derrick Chen, CEO of Workspeed.
