KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Midwest Airlines launches service today between Kansas City and Seattle/Tacoma, a route much anticipated by both leisure and business passengers. The airline will offer daily nonstop service on the popular route, as well as convenient connections in Kansas City to and from cities on its nationwide network.
The flights operate as Midwest Airlines Signature Service, which provides travelers additional comfort and space. Midwest's new Boeing 717 jet aircraft feature two-by-two leather seating, extra legroom, and newly designed Recaro seats with adjustable headrests and footrests. Onboard service includes complimentary baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies and the airline's buy- onboard Best Care Cuisine available for purchase. DigEplayer portable inflight entertainment systems are offered for rent on longer flights.

"Demand for seats has been extremely strong. Our new nonstop service between Milwaukee and Seattle/Tacoma, which starts June 18, is booking with comparable strength."

The new service is part of Midwest's previously announced 2007 strategic plan, which includes new destinations, route additions, frequency increases and aircraft upgrades.
