SAN DIEGO, April 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Governance Institute is expanding its roster of Governance Advisors. Pamela R. Knecht will join our three long- time Governance Advisors, Barry Bader, Edward Kazemek, and Roger Witalis. The Governance Advisors provide member hospitals with consulting services to optimize board performance and overall organizational performance.

Ms. Knecht brings 26 years of experience to The Governance Institute. She has served on The Governance Institute's faculty for five years, and is currently writing a white paper on the board's role in strategic planning, to be released this summer. Ms. Knecht will also address the topic of the board's role in strategic planning at The Governance Institute's Leadership Conference at the Greenbrier, October 21-24, 2007. While there, she will also serve as the Advisor in Residence, a service offered to conference attendees to increase access to the Governance Advisors.
Ms. Knecht serves as vice president of ACCORD LIMITED, a national consulting firm based in Chicago, and has focused on assisting not-for-profit hospitals, health systems, and other organizations with governance assessment, restructuring and development; strategic planning; and physician collaboration.
