SAO PAULO, Brazil, May 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (Bovespa: GOLL4), Brazil's low-fare, low-cost airline, today released preliminary passenger statistics for the month of April 2007. For GOL Transportes Aereos S.A., passenger traffic (RPK) increased 49% and capacity (ASK) increased 64% year over year. GOL's system load factor for the month of April 2007 was 71%.
Domestic passenger traffic (RPK) for April increased 42% and capacity (ASK) increased 51%. GOL's domestic load factor for the month of April 2007 was 74%. International passenger traffic (RPK) for April increased 139% and capacity (ASK) increased 202%. International load factor for the month of April 2007 was 55%. Average fares were reduced approximately 18% versus April 2006.
