Majestic Insurance Appoints New Senior Vice President of Underwriting to Expand Excess Workers' Compensation Business

SAN FRANCISCO, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Majestic Insurance Co., the U.S.-based primary insurance subsidiary of CRM Holdings, Ltd. ("CRM") , today announced it has appointed James C. Kilduff as Senior Vice President of Underwriting.

Mr. Kilduff has more than 26 years of insurance industry experience, the last 17 in excess workers' compensation insurance and reinsurance. He brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to Majestic, where he will work to expand the company's excess workers' compensation business.

"Jim's experience and expertise fill an essential role for us at Majestic as we look to grow our business beyond our established base of primary insurance," said Mr. Daniel G. Hickey Jr., the Chief Executive Officer of Majestic. "His vast knowledge of the underwriting decision-making process and proven track record of developing excess compensation platforms will be vital as we expand our revenue sources."

Prior to joining Majestic, Mr. Kilduff created a successful excess workers' compensation reinsurance and insurance facility at Professional Indemnity. He developed underwriting guidelines, determined excess rates specific to each state and retention, drafted policy forms and endorsements and negotiated reinsurance treaty support.

Previously, he was part of the senior management team at Wexford Underwriting Managers, where he was involved in all aspects of the underwriting decision-making process, including actuarial review of excess rate-making, policy and endorsement construction, underwriting policy and training and relationship management, with reinsurers of Transamerica and CNA.

After completing an insurance major at the University of Alabama, Mr. Kilduff spent time at Lloyds of London and returned to be trained in reinsurance at General Reinsurance Corp. in New York.
