CHICAGO, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Strategic Hotels & Resorts announced today that its board of directors has promoted Paula C. Maggio to Senior Vice President. Ms. Maggio also will continue to serve as General Counsel and Secretary of the company.

Ms. Maggio joined Strategic Hotels & Resorts in December 2000 as Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. She was subsequently promoted to Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 2004. In addition to Ms. Maggio's contributions to the company's initial public offering in June 2004, she provides ongoing legal guidance and oversight for all acquisitions, dispositions and corporate transactions. Prior to joining the company, she was a private practicing attorney. Ms. Maggio received a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois.
