Tymphany Corporation, the industry's leading provider of innovative audio transducers, today announced the appointment of seasoned industry veteran, Tom Jacoby as Chief Executive Officer. Former CEO Mike Hackworth will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board for Tymphany Corporation. Jacoby will apply his 30 years of audio industry experience to help drive the next stage of company growth.
With Jacoby's appointment, Tymphany boasts one of the strongest management teams in the audio industry. Tymphany recently added Michael Oslac, President and Chief Operating Officer, and a former executive at Harman International, and Jay Wessell, Chief Financial Officer, and a former executive with two Harman International companies as well as Recoton Home Audio, to its executive team.

Jacoby comes to Tymphany from Klipsch Group Inc., where he served as Vice Chairman and Corporate Development Officer. Jacoby was instrumental in expanding Klipsch's presence in the home consumer market, resulting in the acquisition and integration of premium loudspeaker brands Jamo, Energy, Mirage and Athena.
Prior to Klipsch, Jacoby spent 20 years with Harman International Industries, Inc., in various executive roles. While serving as CEO and President of Harman Consumer Group, Jacoby led a 4,000 employee division to triple sales revenue. He also turned an operating loss to strong profitability through organic growth, cost savings utilizing new sourcing concepts, inventory reduction, and four acquisitions that positioned the company in the highly profitable systems integration market.
Jacoby will be a board member of Tymphany and presently serves on the board of directors for Klipsch Group Inc., California Clean Energy Fund and Homeland Energy Resource Development, Inc.
Jacoby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
