VANCOUVER, May 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dorex Minerals Inc. is pleased to provide an update on its 6.93 sq km 75% interest Podpolom Gold Property and its 8.9 sq km 100% interest Klokoc South Gold Property, both located in central Slovakia approximately 150 kilometers east of the capital city of Bratislava.
The Podpolom property is underlain by a strongly ferruginous oxidized breccia that has formed around the core of a very competent massive, barren silica zone. Gold mineralization at Podpolom is hosted in a hydrothermal breccia that is characteristically monomictic, developed at the core of a very competent barren silica zone, within a high sulphidation epithermal environment.
Previous exploration included grid soil geochemical sampling, trenching, Induced Polarization geophysical surveys and 22 diamond drilled holes totaling 1,680 meters. At the Podpolom target results returned significant oxide gold mineralization over a strike length of 150 meters. The results from the previous drill holes were gold values between 2.64 g/t over 23.5 meters to 0.59 g/t over 10 meters respectively.
Currently management is evaluating the results to select future drill targets and is preparing for a summer/fall 500 meter diamond drilling program on the properties.
