CHEYENNE, Wyo., June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (BULLETIN BOARD: GLUX) today announced preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of May 2007.
Scheduled service generated 13,767,000 revenue passenger miles (RPM's), a 21.4 percent increase from the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASM's) increased 8.7 percent to 26,584,000. As a result, load factor increased 5.4 points to 51.79 percent. Passengers carried increased 16.4 percent to 50,075 when compared to May 2006. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 0.4 percent from 29.74 cents to 29.86 cents.
For the five months ending May 31, 2007 compared to the same five month period in 2006, revenue passenger miles (RPM's) increased 15.9 percent to 59,094,000 and available seat miles (ASM's) increased 5.5 percent to 124,259,000, resulting in a load factor of 47.56 percent for the year 2007 effecting an increase in load factor of 4.3 points compared to the same five month period in 2006. The company carried 218,204 revenue passengers for the five month period ending May 31, 2007, a 12.4 percent increase from the prior year. Preliminary revenue per available seat mile (RASM) increased 1.0 percent from 28.26 cents to 28.55 cents on a year-over-year basis.

Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger service at 39 airports in nine states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 206 weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 148 flights at Denver, 8 flights at Albuquerque, and 18 flights at Phoenix. All scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines at the Denver International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport hubs.
