WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Triad Guaranty Inc. announced that Henry G. Williamson, Jr. has been elected a director of the company. Mr. Williamson is an independent director and will serve on the Audit Committee and the newly formed Credit Risk Committee. His appointment increases the number of board members to nine.

Mr. Williamson served as the Chief Operating Officer of BB&T Corporation from 1989 to 2004. Prior to that he held various positions with that organization beginning in 1973. Mr. Williamson currently serves as a director of Hooker Furniture Corporation.
Mr. Williamson is a graduate of East Carolina University where he received an MBA degree in 1972 and a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969.
