Paris Air Show -- Emirates Airline has selected Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) to provide laptop docking station Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) systems for its complete fleet of Boeing 747, 777 and Airbus A310, A330 and A340 aircraft. The system includes Goodrich's EFB display and laptop docking station hardware as well as EFB software. Goodrich will provide system design, development, complete integration and Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for each aircraft type. Deliveries of retrofit systems will begin shortly after receiving STC, expected later this year.

The Goodrich laptop docking station EFB system is designed specifically for an aerospace environment and includes two sunlight-readable, high-resolution, touch-screen displays, two laptop docking stations and an installation kit. The system allows the flight crew to use laptop computers via an EFB display for applications during all phases of flight. EFB laptop docking stations provide certified aircraft power, ARINC 429 communication and ethernet and USB interfaces between aircraft systems and the laptop computers. They also provide a high- resolution video output signal to the EFB display.
