American Airlines Offers Triple AAdvantage(R) Miles for First or Business Class Passengers Between New York - London

NEW YORK, June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- If you travel on American Airlines in First or Business Class between New York and London this summer, be prepared to see a big jump in your AAdvantage(R) miles.

American is offering triple AAdvantage miles for round-trip travel on eligible First or Business Class tickets between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and London's Heathrow Airport completed by Aug. 31, 2007.

That's more than 22,000 bonus miles for each round-trip taken -- nearly enough for a free* trip within the continental United States and Canada.

American offers six convenient roundtrip flights each business day between JFK and Heathrow, each operated with Boeing 777 aircraft, the largest and most luxurious plane in American's fleet. Heathrow is the preferred airport for business travel to and from London.

"American offers products and services that are designed to please the business traveler, including the frequency of flights we have between the world's two major financial centers of New York and London," said Chuck Imhof, American's Vice President of Passenger Sales -- Greater New York. "And this summer, we're making it even more attractive to fly American by including triple AAdvantage miles. It's a great time to be traveling on American across the pond."

Here are the highlights of American's triple miles special between New York and London:

American's New York-London Triple Miles Offer -- Travel round trip between New York JFK and London Heathrow on an eligible First or Business Class ticket (booked in F, J, A, D or I) through Aug. 31, 2007, and earn triple AAdvantage miles. -- Travel may begin in either New York or London. -- Register before traveling at http://www.aa.com/offers and use promotion code AALHR.

Along with frequent flights and triple miles, First and Business Class customers flying on American between New York and London will enjoy a number of other amenities, including Admirals Clubs(R) and Flagship Lounges on both sides of the Atlantic.

In addition, travelers in all classes of service will experience American's brand new, state-of-the-art terminal at JFK. In May, American moved its international service at JFK into Concourse B, the newest and largest terminal at the airport. The new terminal features 84 ticketing positions, more than 30 Self-Service Check-in Machines, and 10 security checkpoint lanes that can process 1,800 passengers an hour.

Travelers using JFK will see a boost in the number of flights and destinations offered by American from the airport as well. Earlier this month, American added more flights from JFK to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, while in August, an additional flight to San Francisco will join the schedule. In early September, American will begin nonstop service from JFK to Las Vegas and will increase the number of flights and size of the jets currently being flown between JFK and Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Then in November, American will launch nonstop flights from JFK to both St. Lucia and St. Kitts and Nevis in the Caribbean.

American's JFK schedule enhancements join those being offered from New York's LaGuardia Airport, all of which are intended to help insure that American is New York's airline of choice. Earlier this year, American added flights between LaGuardia and both Atlanta and Raleigh/Durham, N.C., while American Eagle began new nonstop service to Cincinnati. In September, American will start new nonstop flights from LaGuardia to Minneapolis/St. Paul, and American Eagle will launch service to Louisville, Ky.
