TheMarkets.com Announces Formation of Key Accounts Management Team

NEW YORK, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- TheMarkets.com, a leading provider of research and estimates to institutional investors worldwide, today announced that is has formed a group within its sales organization to serve the needs of its largest global client accounts. The Key Account Management (KAM) team will serve as a partner to leading clients to identify opportunities for highly customized service from TheMarkets.com, through product enhancements and development in response to these accounts' specific needs.

"The establishment of the KAM team represents our dedication to serving the particular needs of our major global accounts, and is an extension of our long-term commitment to providing industry-leading customer service to our discerning client base," said Alina Sullivan, Vice President of Global Sales. Adding to TheMarkets.com's previously reported product satisfaction rating of 98%, in a recent survey of users, 83% of the respondents indicated that they received better customer service from TheMarkets.com than from other vendors in the marketplace. "We think that's an exciting validation," said Sullivan. "And we want to do even more to increase our level of service to clients. KAM is an important strategic step to further strengthen our position as a leader in customer service among providers in our industry."

"Through KAM, we aim to empower our clients to increase efficiency by helping them take a holistic, global look at their needs in the research space, and develop the solutions that will streamline their operations across offices and continents," Sullivan said. The 1700 client firms of TheMarkets.com currently include 75 of the world's largest 100 hedge funds, over half of the top 100 U.S. and European asset managers, and 30 of the top 50 private equity firms, many of which are multi-national.

The creation of KAM coincides with the two-year anniversary of the formation of TheMarkets Advisory Group, a select group of individual users of TheMarkets.com who provide strategic insight into the needs of institutional investors and feedback on proposed product direction and enhancement. "While KAM and the Advisory Group serve two different purposes in building our client service organization, they're both designed to help us achieve our vision of being the client-centric partner of choice for institutional investors worldwide," Sullivan said.

ING Investment Management has been a client of TheMarkets.com for over five years, and is now being served by the KAM team. Julian Yeung, Market Data Specialist at ING, said, "We have found the global perspective offered by the Key Account team to be extremely helpful for our business. We've benefited from a high level of client support, coordination and integration of our subscriptions in multiple global locations, and increased efficiency on our end through the beneficial content offered."

Over the coming months, TheMarkets.com will be growing the KAM team internally. As a first step, the Company announced today the appointment of Susan Connors as its Director. Connors, who has been a Senior Account Executive with TheMarkets.com since 2002, brings over 15 years of experience in sales, account management, and marketing in the financial services industry. She was previously an account executive at both Reuters Americas and at Instinet Corporation, where she worked in key accounts management before becoming a sales executive.

"We're so pleased to have Susan spearhead our Key Account Management effort," said Sullivan. "During her time here, she has proved herself to be a top account executive, while providing the type of consultative, global perspective we hope to bring to all of our Key Accounts."

Favoritenwechsel
