BRIDGEPORT, W.Va., July 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Petroleum Development Corporation today announced that Daniel Amidon was appointed General Counsel on July 2, 2007. Mr. Amidon has over 20 years of experience working with public and private companies, Mr. Amidon recently held the position of Vice President, Law with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Prior to his employment by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Mr. Amidon worked for J&L Specialty Steel in positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as the General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Amidon practiced with the Pittsburgh law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll for the first five years of his career.
Mr. Amidon brings extensive experience to PDC in the areas of corporate law, contract negotiation, corporate governance, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management.
Mr. Amidon earned a B.A. degree with honors from the University of Virginia and a J.D. degree from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University.
