WHY: Life Time Fitness, Inc. (NYSE:LTM), a national operator of distinctive and large health and fitness centers today announced that professional triathletes Greg Bennett (AUS) and Emma Snowsill (AUS) will return to New York City to defend their titles on July 22 at the 2007 Nautica New York City Triathlon. The Nautica New York City Triathlon is the second race in the 2007 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series. Bennett enters the event following a stellar performance last weekend in Minneapolis where he set a new course record in the Life Time Fitness Triathlon, the first race in the 2007 Series. Snowsill also started the 2007 Series with an impressive performance, finishing second to Portugal's Vanessa Fernandes in Minneapolis. Joining Bennett and Snowsill will be more than 30 of the world's most accomplished professional triathletes, including;
-- Craig Walton (AUS) - 2007 Australian Sprint Triathlon Champion, 2007 Utah International Triathlon Champion
-- Hunter Kemper (USA) - 2007 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Third Place, 2006 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Champion
-- Julie Dibens (GBR) - 2007 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Third Place, 2007 British National Champion
-- Pip Taylor (AUS) - 2007 Life Time Fitness Triathlon Fifth Place, 2007 Escape from Alcatraz Second Place
The pro field will be racing for a portion of the $31,000 prize purse with the winner in both the female and male division taking home $8,000. In addition to the cash prizes, the winner will also earn 10,000 points in the Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series points race.

The Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series was launched in 2006 and created the first-ever connection among the four most prominent Olympic-distance triathlon events in the United States. The Accenture Chicago Triathlon (chicagotriathlon.com) is produced by Creative & Production Resources, Inc (CAPRI Events). The Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Triathlon (LATriathlon.com) is produced by Pacific Sports LLC. The Nautica New York City Triathlon (nyctri.com) is produced by Korff Enterprises. In 2007, the Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series was expanded to include a new Championship event, the Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon Dallas. Overall, the Life Time Fitness Triathlon Series offers nearly $1.5 million in prize purse.
