GUADALAJARA, Mexico, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: PAC; BMV: GAP) ("the Company" or "GAP") today announced the inauguration of Terminal 2 at the Guadalajara International Airport. Terminal 2 serves arrivals and departures for Alma Airlines and Aeromexico as well as for private flights.
The expansion and remodeling of Terminal 2 required an investment of Ps. 45 million and is part of the Company's master development program. The Company expects that Terminal 2 will be able to serve approximately 800,000 terminal passengers per annum. The improvements included:
1 - Expanded Check-In Areas with the latest in CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment) technology, which increases the efficiency of the counter spaces. In addition, two baggage claim belts were added.
2 - Final waiting areas nearly tripled in size, including the addition of seating, restrooms, snack bars and convenience stores.
3 - Four New Gates were added to the two existing gates at this terminal.
4 - The addition of two revision points and a Customs location to better serve customers and improve the safety and efficiency of the airport.
