Heritage Commerce Corp Names John J. Hounslow and Mark E. Lefanowicz to Board of Directors


SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Heritage Commerce Corp , today announced that John J. Hounslow and Mark E. Lefanowicz have been added to the Board of Directors of Heritage Bank of Commerce and Heritage Commerce Corp.

More importantly, they understand entrepreneurs and their banking requirements" said Jack W. Conner, Chairman. Hounslow was Chairman of the Board of Diablo Valley Bank, which was recently acquired by Heritage Commerce Corp. As a founder of both Diablo Valley Bank and Mt. Diablo National Bank, Hounslow helped build and sell two very successful and profitable banks in the region. He has a strong entrepreneurial background with management experience in a wide variety of industries, including technology, manufacturing, mining, chemicals, and international business and banking. Hounslow earned a Bachelor of Science degree from State University of New York and a Masters of Business Administration from Syracuse University, Graduate School of Business.

Lefanowicz has more than two decades of experience in operational and financial leadership roles within the mortgage and banking industries. Mr. Lefanowicz joined the E-LOAN Board in October 2002, was appointed Chief Operating Officer in January 2004, and President in May 2004. He has developed E-LOAN into a leading online lender by creating dramatic efficiencies through the use of innovative technology, solidifying a diversified business model, and continually improving the company's fast, easy and streamlined lending process.

Before joining E-LOAN, Mr. Lefanowicz was CEO of Bay View Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Co. (BVFMAC). Prior to BVFMAC, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Bay View Capital Corporation. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer of Provident Funding Associates. Mr. Lefanowicz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming. Having earned his CPA in 1980, he is also a member of AICPA and CACPA.
