Bennett Taylor, President of the South Florida Gold Coast Chapter of the International Society for Performance Improvement, and Mary Haley, President of the Miami Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development, announced today that their respective chapters are bringing an internationally-known consultant, author and lecturer to the campus of the University of Miami on Friday, September 21st.
Carl Binder, Ph.D., will present an engaging performance improvement workshop entitled The Six Boxes". Dr. Carl Binder has been helping organizations accelerate performance and improve results for over 30 years. He will share a simple but powerful framework for understanding and communicating the variables that influence performance.
The Six Boxes" Workshop provides a powerful foundation for building a performance-savvy culture. The model presented is applied by organizations throughout the world. Human Performance Technology (HPT) tools have been adopted as a foundation for performance consulting and management development by global organizations like Microsoft and LG (South Korea)," said Bennett Taylor, Managing Director of Think Track, Inc. Taylor remarked that "The Six Boxes" model offers a way for practitioners to get out of the training box and engage in constructive dialogue on the specific factors that contribute to excellent performance.
The workshop and the tools it provides will help participants:
"¢ Communicate in clear, plain language with managers and individual employees about the causes of deficient and exemplary performance.
"¢ Gain alignment with managers and teams about how to address performance problems and how to leverage performance strengths.
"¢ Improve performance systems or interventions and optimize cost-effectiveness and employee engagement by ensuring that components work together synergistically.
Mary Haley, Ed.D., Training Manager for Educational Technology Services at Florida International University, stated that: "the 'The Six Boxes' Workshop will provide great value to any stakeholder in an organization's success, particularly those responsible for human resources, training, organizational development and talent management. Students will also benefit from attending."
Note to editors: Dr. Carl Binder, will also speak on ""Everybody Needs Fluency!" at a joint dinner meeting of the ISPI South Florida Gold Coast Chapter and ASTD - Miami at Miami Children's Hospital on Thursday Evening, September 20th.
