NEW YORK, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Whether it's driving to watch the turning of the autumn leaves or catching your favorite sporting event, fall is quickly becoming a popular travel time. AAA statistics show 23 percent of the country's vacationing is done during autumn, and a family of four taking a fall trek will spend an average of $269 dollars per day in fuel, food, lodging and entertainment during fall months. AAA's Nancy Cain says the main thing travelers should pack is a fully working car or truck.
