ICOP Receives $572,000 Order from Alaska State Troopers

LENEXA, Kan., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ICOP Digital, Inc. , an industry-leading company engaged in advancing digital surveillance solutions, today announced that the Company has received a purchase order totaling $572,000 from the Alaska State Troopers for its ongoing deployment of ICOP Model 20/20(R)-W digital in-car video systems in its patrol fleet.

According to Captain Hans Brinke of the Alaska State Troopers, "We are very pleased to award ICOP with this follow-on order. The original units we purchased late last year have performed at or above our expectations, and ICOP's level of customer attention and willingness to work with us to manage our fleetwide roll-out of the system has been truly outstanding and much appreciated."

With the largest jurisdiction of any state law enforcement agency in the country, the Alaska State Troopers operate a fleet of over 125 marked patrol vehicles, as well as a diverse fleet of snow mobiles, watercraft and aircraft. They work in extreme weather conditions that range from perpetual double-digit sub-zero temperatures that can persist for months at a time; as well as severe rain storms with wind speeds that exceed 75 miles per hour for days at a time.

"One of the differentiating features of our system is its sheer ruggedness, providing superior performance irrespective of outside weather conditions. Given the extreme cold and wet weather that Alaska State Troopers routinely endure throughout the year, we are very pleased that these officers can depend on the ICOP Model 20/20-W to do its job, and do it well," stated Dave Owen, Chairman and CEO of ICOP.
