VAUDREUIL-DORION, QC, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- As Immunotec looks to the beginning of its twelfth year of operation, Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. C.H. (Chuck) Roberts announces his retirement from his role as President. Mr. Roberts, a major shareholder in Immunotec, will continue his involvement with the corporation, both as an active member of the Board of Directors and as Co-founder, in a variety of public relations and sales support roles.
Mr. Roberts' wealth of business acumen and experience in heading successful Canadian companies, coupled with his sales vision for an innovative, research-based product called Immunocal/HMS 90, were behind the establishment of Immunotec Research Ltd. in 1996. His leadership and entrepreneurial expertise took a post-retirement venture from its roots as a small, Quebec-based enterprise to a major force within the North American network marketing industry. With sales exceeding $36.9 million dollars annually, Immunotec Inc. became a publicly-traded company in January 2007.
Mr. Roberts recognized that network marketing is about more than industry-leading products; his unwavering commitment to Immunotec's thousands of Distributors across Canada and the United States was the foundation for all of his business decisions throughout his presidency. Now, with the company firmly rooted, its longevity assured, and with an experienced and capable corporate team in place, Mr. Roberts steps back from his operational role to launch the company into its second phase, one of rapid expansion and growth.
The Board of Directors has approved the appointment of an incoming President and CEO and will make the formal announcement early next week.
