BancorpSouth Creates New Retail Management Division; Names Ty Warren Manager

TUPELO, Miss., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ty Warren has been named as Senior Vice President and Manager of BancorpSouth's newly created Retail Management Division. The new division, reporting to the Chairman's Office, is responsible for the company's sales management, retail product management and corporate marketing functions. Warren has assumed the new responsibilities and relocated to the company's corporate offices in Tupelo.

The new Retail Division will work with the company's community banks and other lines of business in enterprise-wide, client relationship initiatives. This will include interface with the mortgage, credit card, student loans, electronic banking, insurance, investment and trust areas to increase opportunities for retail client acquisition and retention, including the deepening of BancorpSouth's existing client relationships. Emphasis will be directed toward the enhancement of the company's sales management and cross-selling capabilities, quality service initiatives and development of new retail products and banking channels.

The existing corporate marketing function will report to the Retail Management Division and will focus on overall company brand management with responsibilities for advertising, public relations, media relations, corporate communications, sales promotions and retail merchandising.

A native of Natchez, Miss., Warren has spent 19 years in retail and commercial banking, including the previous four years as BancorpSouth's Community Bank President in Olive Branch, Miss., and the prior 15 years with a regional banking company headquartered in the Jackson, Miss market. Warren is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a BA degree in Banking and Finance and Managerial Finance; he is also a 1997 graduate of the LSU School of Banking.

Active in the community, Warren has held many leadership positions, including serving as the 2007 President of the Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce. He also has served in numerous other community volunteer positions, including the YMCA, St. Jude Research Hospital, American Heart Association and American Cancer Association. He is married to the former, Lindsay Gorton of Belzoni, Miss. The Warrens have three children.
