Corporate Express Acquires Contracta Office Furnishings in Dallas

BROOMFIELD, Colo., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Corporate Express US Inc., part of the Dutch-based Corporate Express NV , announced today that it has acquired Contracta Office Furnishings, a contract furniture dealer in Dallas, Texas.

Corporate Express US is a leading business-to-business supplier in the U.S. of office products, furniture, facility supplies and computer products and services, printing and forms management and promotional merchandise. The company's contract furniture business is called Corporate Express Business Interiors (CEBI).

This acquisition of Contracta will strengthen Corporate Express's position in North Texas and support the company's objectives of increased growth in the contract furniture business.

All of the approximately 20 Contracta employees will be retained within the CEBI organization. The deal was completed on September 28, 2007. The combined North Texas organization will be led by John Sherman, VP of CEBI.

Corporate Express Business Interiors is the largest full service furniture distributor in the United States, with the broadest furniture offering in the industry which includes catalog furniture purchases and full service contract furniture services.
