BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Pearson VUE, the electronic certification and licensure testing business of Pearson, announced today that it has signed an exclusive multi-year contract with Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) to provide test development and test delivery services for ONCC's certification programs. ONCC will be transitioning its entire certification program, including international paper-and-pencil testing, to computer-based testing beginning January 2, 2008. ONCC certification exams will be delivered in the Pearson VUE-owned and -operated network of over 200 Pearson Professional Centers in the United States and its territories, as well as selected international sites.
The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) is a non-profit organization that promotes and provides oncology nursing certification for the enhancement of patient care and professional practice. ONCC offers five certification credentials, including the Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN(R)), Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse (CPON(R)), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN(R)), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP(R)) and Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS(R)). All ONCC certification programs are accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
