(Bovespa: ABNB3 - ON), the leader in solutions involving plastic cards, identification systems and print service management in the market it operates, announces its results for the third quarter of 2007 (3Q07). Except where stated otherwise, the 3Q07 financial and operational information herein is presented in Brazilian Real and on a consolidated basis with our subsidiaries Trust and Transtex, pursuant to Brazilian Corporate Law.
Highlights of the Period -- Record EBITDA of R$32 million in the 3Q07, up 8.8% on the R$29.4 million posted in 3Q06. EBITDA in the first nine months of 2007 (9M07) was R$93.5 million (R$30.4 million in 1Q07, R$31.1 million in 2Q07 and R$32 million in 3Q07). -- Net Revenue up 10.3% when compared to the same period a year ago. -- Sales volume posted impressive growth in all three units: 20.1% in cards, 20% in ID systems and 23.1% in print services (3Q07 versus 3Q06). -- ABnote is freely authorized to commercialize Smart Cards as of October 1, 2007. -- Print Service Division posted excellent performance, consolidating the division's recovery. -- Startup of card production to Banco do Brasil in August 2007. -- In 3Q07, payment of dividends and interest on equity amounted to R$0.1139 per share (net of income tax). -- ABnote was granted with the "Corporate Excellence" national award by the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
