NEW YORK, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. today announced that on October 24, 2007, the Securities and Exchange Commission declared effective NorthStar's registration statement on Form S-3 relating to resales of the shares of common stock of NorthStar issuable upon exchange of the 7.25% exchangeable senior notes due 2027 (the "Notes") issued by NorthStar Realty Finance Limited Partnership, the operating partnership through which NorthStar conducts its operations.
NorthStar and the operating partnership will not receive any proceeds from the resales, if any, of the shares of common stock pursuant to the registration statement.
