OAKDALE, Minn., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Imation Corp Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Henderson was remembered by the Board and executive management of the global data storage and consumer technology company, following the announcement of his death at home in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Mr. Henderson had been battling cancer for more than a year, and had left Imation in April 2007 to concentrate on his medical treatment.
Frank Russomanno, who succeeded Bruce as CEO said: "Bruce's legacy at Imation will live on in the impact he had on the company strategy and direction. More importantly, Bruce's determination and positive spirit as he battled his illness have been an inspiration to me and to all Imation employees."
Linda W. Hart, Chairman of Imation's board, issued the following statement on behalf of the entire board: "Our thoughts and prayers are with Bruce's family. His contributions to Imation will continue to benefit the company."
