SoftBrands Combines Epitome and Karyon to Fuel the Rapid Growth of GrandStay Hospitality, LLC

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SoftBrands, Inc. , a global supplier of enterprise application software, today announced that GrandStay Hospitality, LLC, the parent company of GrandStay Residential Suite Hotels, has selected SoftBrands' Epitome property management system (PMS) and Karyon Distribution Service for its newest hotel in Apple Valley, Minn.

SoftBrands enterprise solutions will enable GrandStay Residential Suite Hotels to expand their operations while leveraging their current investment in technology. SoftBrands Epitome PMS will allow GrandStay Residential Suite Hotels to consolidate and share guest information across multiple properties while enhancing its ability to provide superior service to guests. Using the competitive intelligence tool GrandStay can position itself as a competitive offering in each of its markets.

Rodney Lindquist, chief executive officer, GrandStay Hospitality, LLC, said, "After an extensive evaluation of currently available systems and our future growth plans, we selected SoftBrands as our preferred provider. SoftBrands' progressive technology, excellent support and dedication to the hospitality industry demonstrated the confidence we required to build a successful business partnership. The Epitome solution allows us to use the latest platform-independent technology and provide complete flexibility in deployment, which is critical to our franchisee multiple-property environment, and reduces the cost of operation with superior performance."

The GrandStay Residential Suite Hotels offer excellent value to guests, and an affordable opportunity for franchisees. With the .Net platform, GrandStay can offer state-of-the-art technology that can grow with GrandStay as they expand their business, at an affordable investment," said Jo Masters, vice president and general manager, SoftBrands Hospitality, Americas.
