ORLANDO, Fla, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., , advises passengers that due to a severe weather system moving across the Southwest, Midwest and Northeast, some flights may be cancelled or rescheduled.
Passengers holding reservations for travel scheduled Dec. 1 through Dec. 3, 2007, should check http://www.airtran.com/ under "Flight Status" for updates or call 1-800-AIRTRAN (247-8726). AirTran Airways passengers can change their schedules without penalty as long as the selected travel dates are made prior to the original travel date and moved to within five days following the original scheduled departure date. Passengers traveling to, from or through affected cities may also cancel their travel plans and place the remaining balance in a credit account for use up to one year from original date of purchase, and the cancellation fee will be waived.
The following cities are likely to be affected are: Akron/Canton and Dayton, Ohio; Bloomington/Normal, Chicago (Midway) and Moline/Quad Cities, Ill.; Boston, Mass.; Buffalo/Niagara and Rochester, N.Y.; Denver, Colo.; Detroit and Flint, Mich.; Indianapolis, Ind.; Kansas City, Mo.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn.; Pittsburgh, Penn.; Portland, Maine.; Wichita, Kan.
