United Airlines Rings in the New Year with International and U.S. Destinations on Sale Today

CHICAGO, Jan. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United is welcoming the new year by offering customers special low fares for travel to many favorite cities across the globe. These special fares are available for purchase for U.S. and international destinations through Jan. 10, 2008. Customers can book their travel at united.com or call United reservations at 1-800-UNITED1 (1-800-864-8331).

Sample domestic fares on United are each way for travel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday with all travel complete by March 6, 2008, and are based on required roundtrip purchase by Jan. 10, 2008. See below or visit united.com for complete terms and conditions.

For travel from Mexico/Caribbean, fares above are not valid between 2/22/08-2/24/08. U.S. and Canada Min./Max. Stay: When departure from origin is Sunday-Thursday, fares require a 2-night minimum stay. When departure from fare origin is Friday/Saturday, fares require a Saturday night minimum stay. The maximum stay is 30 days. International Min./Max. Stay: For Atlantic and Latin destinations, a Saturday night minimum stay is required. For Pacific destinations, a 6-night minimum stay is required. The maximum stay is 30 days. Additional Taxes/Fees: Fares do not include a $3.50 per flight segment tax or the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per flight segment. A flight segment is defined as one takeoff and one landing. Fares do not include Passenger Facility Charges of up to $18, which may be collected depending on the itinerary. Fares for Hawaii and Alaska do not include a $7.70 (each way) departure tax. All international fares are subject to U.S. arrival and departure taxes and agricultural, immigration and customs fees of up to $50. For travel to some countries, additional airport, transportation, embarkation, security, and passenger service taxes/surcharges of up to $175 will apply depending on destination. For return travel from some countries, fares do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45, which may be collected by the foreign government. Itinerary Changes: Tickets are non-refundable, but the return portion may be changed for a fee ($100 for U.S., Canadian and Latin, $200 for Atlantic and Pacific), provided the new itinerary is within the parameters of this offer, minimum and maximum stay requirements are met, and the origin and destination are not changed. If the reservation is cancelled before the ticketed departure date, the itinerary may be rebooked up to one year from the original ticket issue date for a service charge ($100 for U.S., Canadian and Latin, $200 for Atlantic and Pacific). If a reservation is not cancelled before the ticketed departure date, the ticket has no value. Other Conditions: Fares, fees and taxes are subject to change without notice. Other restrictions may apply. Lower fares may be available to select destinations. Exceptions for Hawaii: Fares shown above are valid for travel to Hawaii on Monday-Wednesday and from Hawaii on Tuesday-Thursday. For travel to/from Hawaii, a minimum stay of 3 days is required.
