Farmers Insurance claims personnel, agents and employees throughout northern Nevada are helping victims of the heavy rain and wind storms that struck yesterday and today.
Farmers Nevada State Executive Director Stephen Brown said, "as of noon today, Saturday January 5th, Farmers Insurance has received 35 claims. Our claims teams are helping our customers throughout the storm and flooded areas. Farmers has also set up a claims station at the Fernley High School evacuation center in Fernley.
Farmers' customers who have suffered damage from the storms should call the 24-hour Farmers HelpPoint number at:
1-800-HelpPoint (1-800-435-7764), for immediate assistance.
"The levee that burst and flooded the Fernley area East of Reno has caused many homeowners to evacuate. All Farmers flood claims issues are handled by the National Flood Insurance Program Services (NFIP). The number to reach the Floor Claims Department at NFIP is: 1-800-759-8656, EXT. 8653, Brown said.
