Vonage Announces Personnel Changes

HOLMDEL, N.J., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Vonage today announced that Mike Sears has been appointed Senior Vice President of Global Service Delivery Operations, the customer-facing organization that is responsible for all customer contacts. In addition, the company announced that Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Sharon O'Leary will be departing the company at the end of the first quarter.

Commenting on Sears' appointment, Vonage Chairman, Chief Strategist, and Interim CEO Jeffrey Citron said, "Mike has an impressive skill set that will enhance Vonage's ability to keep improving our customer service. We believe that Sears' 18-plus years of leadership experience in customer service and operations will build upon the foundation Vonage currently has in place."

Most recently, Sears served as Vice President of Customer Service for DHL Express. He was responsible for strategic and tactical delivery of customer service, overseeing more than 1,700 employees. Sears was instrumental in a first call resolution program that reduced customer complaints by more than 10 percent and improved customer satisfaction scores by 15 percent.

Prior to working for DHL, Sears held various positions, including Vice President of Customer Service Strategic Planning for Wachovia National Bank. Sears holds a masters degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, where he also received his B.S. degree.

Sharon O'Leary joined Vonage in August, 2005 and assisted in taking the company public on the New York Stock Exchange in May, 2006. "Sharon was our first general counsel and she developed a first-class legal and regulatory team. Sharon also helped guide legal strategy during a particularly challenging period for Vonage. I appreciate the time and energy she put into managing the company's legal and regulatory affairs during her tenure," said Citron.
