WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Feb. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bunge Limited announced the appointment of Vicente C. Teixeira as chief personnel officer (CPO), effective today. Mr. Teixeira succeeds Flavio Sa Carvalho, who has served as CPO since 1998 and will retire from Bunge.
Mr. Teixeira has served as director of human resources for Latin America at Dow Chemical and Dow Agrosciences in Brazil since 2001. He joined Dow from Union Carbide, where he served as director of human resources and administration for Latin America and South Africa, starting in 1995. Previously, he had worked at Citibank for 21 years, where he ultimately served as human resources vice president for the company's Brazilian operations.

Mr. Teixeira earned an undergraduate degree in Business Communication and Publicity from Faculdade Integrada Alcantara Machado (FMU/FIAM), a Master of Business Administration from Faculdade Tancredo Neves and an Executive MBA from PDG/EXEC (currently IBMEC) in Brazil.
