PLANO, Texas, March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- EDS today announced the Internet availability of proxy materials for its 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders under the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's new "Notice and Access Rule." EDS' proxy materials can now be found on the company's Investor Relations website at http://www.eds.com/sites/shareholder/.
EDS is among the first large accelerated filers to adopt the Notice and Access Rule. As an alternative to the traditional approach of delivering a printed set of proxy materials to each shareholder, companies can now deliver a "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials" to shareholders, provide Internet access to the proxy materials, and provide a printed set of proxy materials by mail to any shareholder who requests them.
EDS' 2007 annual report on Form 10-K and Notice of Meeting and Proxy Statement for the 2008 Annual Meeting of Shareholders have been filed with the SEC and may be viewed on EDS' website at http://www.eds.com/sites/shareholder/. EDS shareholders may obtain hard copies of EDS' proxy materials free of charge by following the instructions provided on the company's website or in the "Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials."
The EDS Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. Central time at EDS' world headquarters located at 5400 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas 75024.
