CHANTILLY, Va., March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTSI Corp.(R) , an IT infrastructure solutions and services provider to government, announced the first two topics and dates for its 2008 Technology Leadership Series seminars. Going Green: Saving Energy and Maximizing ROI in the Data Center is scheduled for March 27, and Leveraging ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) to Reduce IT Costs and Boost Efficiencies will take place on June 24. The Technology Leadership Series brings together government IT executives, industry innovators, and analysts to discuss the trends, business objectives, and technology that shape government's IT strategies. Live demonstrations, case studies, and timely industry research will be presented in an interactive environment, where attendees will learn how new applications and technologies can benefit their agencies. This year's seminars, presented by GTSI and Federal Computer Week, are modeled after last year's successful format.

"We were very pleased with how well last year's Technology Leadership Series resonated with CIOs, CTOs, and other government technology executives, said Jay Jayachandran, GTSI's vice president of marketing. Word of mouth increased attendance at each subsequent seminar, and follow-up surveys to the more than 500 attendees conveyed high praise for the topics, content, and venue. This year, we once again chose topics relevant to our audience, and we will present government leaders, analysts, and innovators who have first-hand knowledge of the issues."

Going Green: Saving Energy and Maximizing ROI in the Data Center on March 27 leads off the series with high-level discussions and presentations on how government data centers can achieve performance, environmental, and cost- saving benefits by adopting a green strategy. Speakers for this seminar include Myra Galbreath, Chief Technology Officer, EPA; Ken Salaets, Director of Technology and Trade Policy from the ITI (Information Technology Industry Council); and Paul Tatum, Director of Systems Engineering from Sun Microsystems. The second seminar, Leveraging ITIL to Reduce IT Costs and Boost Efficiencies, will take place on June 24, 2008. Each seminar begins with registration and a networking breakfast at 7:45 am and concludes at noon.

GTSI has launched a dedicated Web site -- GTSI.com/tls -- with details on registration, content, speakers, and future seminars. Video highlights from last year's Technology Leadership Series seminars are also available.
