KINGSEY FALLS, QC, March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Management of the Cascades Specialty Products Group confirms that it has implemented an emergency plan to compensate for the delays caused by the collapse of a roof section at its printed papers converting centre located in Saint-Jerome.
Until production can return to normal, the company has entrusted its die-cutting operations to sub-contractors and is contacting its customers to inform and reassure them of the proposed solutions to ensure their continued satisfaction.
We are happy to say that the damage did not affect our major inventories of converted products which will allow us to continue serving our customers. We are also very pleased that the damage did not cause any injuries and that our manufacturing unit was not affected. Despite regular maintenance, the roof was simply not able to hold up to recent weather conditions. Repairs are estimated to take place over several weeks and are already underway.
