PG&E Names Barbara Barcon and Greg Kiraly to Leadership Team

SAN FRANCISCO, March 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pacific Gas and Electric Company today announced that its Board of Directors has elected Barbara Barcon as vice president, finance and chief financial officer of the utility, effective March 24. The Board of Directors also elected Greg Kiraly as vice president, maintenance and construction in the utility's Energy Delivery organization, effective April 14.

They each bring a wealth of experience and strengths to these key leadership positions, and will play instrumental roles in helping the organization best serve customers, support employees and provide value to our shareholders," said Bill Morrow, president and CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Barcon will be responsible for business planning, management reporting, performance management and coordination of the company's operating plan. Barcon will report to Chris Johns, senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Pacific Gas and Electric Company's parent, PG&E Corporation, and senior vice president and treasurer of Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Barcon brings nearly three decades of finance experience to PG&E, most recently serving as senior vice president of The Gores Group -- Glendon Partners Private Equity Firm. Prior to that, she served in various roles at Northrop Grumman Corporation, including vice president of financial process excellence, vice president of planning and analysis, and chief financial officer of the Space Technology Sector. Her previous experience includes serving as chief financial officer of Boeing Satellite Systems, in addition to more than 20 years at Hughes Electronics Company in key leadership positions, including vice president and chief financial officer of Hughes Space and Communications.

Kiraly will assume a newly created role within the company and will be responsible for distribution maintenance and construction for the northern portion of PG&E's service area. He will report to Geisha Williams, Pacific Gas and Electric Company's senior vice president of energy delivery.

Kiraly has over 20 years of experience in the utility industry, most recently serving as vice president, distribution system operations, energy delivery of Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) in Chicago. In that capacity, he oversaw the operation of ComEd's electrical distribution system infrastructure, encompassing over 1,000 electrical substations and 5,000 circuits serving over 23,500 megawatts of peak load over an 11,500-square mile territory. Prior to joining ComEd, Greg spent 15 years with Public Service Electric and Gas Company in Newark, New Jersey, where he held a variety of positions in gas and electric distribution.
